Are you interested in medium or large scale ethanol production ? I am selling a spare bolt from the hatch cover on this tank for this auction (keep reading, dont panic yet) and shipping is extra depending on where you live but will be about $5. If you want to start producing ethanol for profit, this actual tank would be perfect for that ! Its a 15,000 gallon tank. It weighs about 35,000 pounds. Its 27 feet long, 11 feet diameter. the ends are rounded slightly. End thickness steel 1/2 inch. Side thickness 3/8 inch. There are 4 super heavy steel foot posts to mount on a pad. Two hatches, one each end. A couple 4 inch threaded ports, etc. The interior is lined with porcelin, which may require repair in a few small areas- you can but repair kits for this. Overall the porcelin is in excellent condition. A coat of paint on the outside would look nice also. There are no leaks whatsoever in this tank. It was removed from a newer (under 10 years old) working ethanol plant that went out of business because gasoline was only $1.00. Now (when I origionally wrote this in 2007) that gasoline is around $3.00 and likely to be $5 to $10 per gallon within 5 years, THE SKY IS THE LIMIT ON PROFITS TO BE MADE !!!! I would guess that a new tank like this would cost about $30,000 or more. I am certain you could buy this one for a tiny fraction of that like maybe almost down to a tenth plus shipping and expenses. . I can arrange shiping and delivery for extra money- actual cost. A crane to lift it on a truck will cost maybe $600 and you can roll it off at your end or crane lift it into position as you opt. Shipping and loading is extra depending on where you live. Tank is at 24101 in Virginia. Check with a trucking agency using the size and weight parameters above for a rate. This may be a funny way to advertise this at the begnning of this ad but this way it complies with ebay rules.
