This is a pair of sturdy, replacement friction hinges for double glazed windows. They are manufactured from 16 mm by 2 mm steel with low-resistance plastic sliders. These hinges will replace most hinges of a similar length. Occasionally it is necessary to make a fixing hole. The total length is 8¼ inches (21 cm). The width or stack height is 14 mm. The hinge on the left in the picture is fully opened.
Collection is welcome otherwise the total, including UK shipping, will be £4.99 for one pair of hinges.
Hinges similar to these are occasionally fitted by manufacturers to the top and bottom of a window. They will, however, perform best and support a greater weight if fitted to the sides of a window.
I have more window hinges in my shop. The hinges are unboxed and do not come with instructions but the procedure for fitting this type of hinge is similar to the procedure described here.
