Optical Measuring and Inspection Instrument by G. Coradi of Zurich. Gottlieb Coradi designed and built many different scientific measuring and drawing instruments. We couldn't find this partiular item online, but we found a variety of his other instruments which are apparently considered to be fairly valuable both as collectors items and for current use. As you can see, this is a stand alone inspection and measuring instrument. It has two basic configurations. The configurtion shown in the first photo uses a set of mirror lenes to direct the light from the lamp up from the bottom through a transparent item being inspected or measured. The other configuration, as shown in the last photo, using the small angled adapter, shines the light from the lamp down upon the top of the item being inspected, probably an opaque object. The large head has a screen that the image appears on. It also has changable inserts for optical comparison or measurement. The image is projected on the screen along with the image of the scale or reticle that is etched on the insert. Comes complete and working in a fitted case with everything you see here, including the power supply for the lamp. The image is magnified quite a bit. The flip-down magnifier lens magnifies the image even further, making a single typed letter fill the screen. Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool.
