Starrett No. 414 12" Steel Rule
I don't know how old this is but I know this is an item STARRETT has discontinued long ago. It is in near perfect condition. Each side is graduated in 8ths and 16ths. It is tempered , and is about 1/16 thick and 1 1/4 wide with a 1/4 hole in one end.. A nice vintage rule from the greatest name in tools. Here is how a starrett catalog from the 40s describes this:
"These tempered steel rules are designed to meet the needs of school and shops, wwodworkers , tinsmiths , metal-workers, bench work , etc. where a general utility rule of english pattern is required. Markings are heavier than conventional machine divided rules and easy to read The two edges on both sides are graduated , the upper edges in 8ths and the lower in 16ths of an inch. Opposite sides measure from reverse ends.:
